Avene Skin Care

Avene skin care products have a rich and well documented history.  As far back as the mid 1700s, the newly discovered thermal springs were being used to treat patients suffering skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, burns and topical dermatitis.

Then in 1975 the first pharmaceutical company purchased the thermal spring facility and a whole line of skin care products were developed using this famous spring water.  The company has continued to grow and create new products to this day.

The line of Avene skin care is varied and provides products starting from a simple thermal water spray to nourish the skin, all the way to anti aging products and wound recovery creams.  Here is a brief overview of these fine European skin care products.

Thermal Water

The healing thermal spring water is the main ingredient in this product.  Meant to be used as a daily mist, it soother, calms, moisturizes and refreshes the skin.

Intolerant Skin

If your skin is intolerant of colors, fragrances and other additives to most cleansing products, the Avene line of cleansers and creams for intolerant skin will be a delight, and if redness is an issue for you as well, there is a product just for that.  Both creams and cleansers are available.

Redness reducer

For skin that has been exposed to the sun without proper protection, the Avene Redness reduction products will provide quick and lasting relief.  This product comes in an easy to apply cream.

Essential Care

The Avene line of essential care products includes make up removers, toners, scrubs, cleansers and moisturizers.  The main ingredient for the entire line is water from the thermal springs.

Wound Care

The wound care cream from Avene was produced to help damaged skin regain its natural appearance.  It provides soothing, healing properties that help speed healing, provide anti bacterial protection, and helps to reduce scarring.

Acne

Avene also has skin care products for improving blemishes and acne prone skin, including cleansers, oil control lotions and spot treatments.

Anti-Aging

Sun Care
